The Streets of Brighton...
review
It's normally easy to lose yourself in the crazy goings on in Brighton, but this weekend took 'getting lost' to a whole new level.
A topiary maze landed in the Pavilion Gardens and creatures from far off lands found themselves grounded in the North Laine. From dragons to fairies, cave men to sultry temptresses - even Charles and Di could be spotted if you looked closely enough. Physical theatre and circus acts drew the crowds and I believe the world record for the longest crowd surf could also have been broken!
Live music filled the air - from a deep sea diver band, to opera behind the pavilion. A nun on a motorised piano sped her way through the crowds, stopping only to part her cheeks for some toilet humour.
With all this going on and the Spiegeltent and Gaiete also being open for cabaret throughout the afternoon, we really were spoilt for choice before the grand pyrotechnics finale in Preston Park!
