A New Religion...
review
Religion is a new night, devoted to uplifting anthems and sexy, funky house. It's only a short stagger up the stairs from Mad Cow - and they persuaded us with free shots on arrival for this launch night.
The music was served up by Richard Jones who span tune after tune for a crowd that were certainly up for a big night out. So what if it was Thursday!? These people were starting their weekend early.
It's not just a name either. The Religion theme had been carried through the night, with glittering halos hanging from the ceiling and video footage from Sister Act playing around the club. Plus of course Mother Superior (Joan Bond) and the divine Sister Joyride were on hand to help the night go with a bang... which is just what happened when the industrial-sized party poppers came out!
The majority of the drinks on offer were just £2 and the sexy bar staff did their best to keep up with the demands of an awful lot of thirsty customers!
If this launch night has set the standard for every Thursday, I believe in this Religion and have faith you will too...
