What possible excuse could anyone have to miss one of the hottest days of the year by spending most of it sat in a pub? An England match, of course. The Marlborough was absolutely packed with England supporters... not the average "we'll kick off if we lose" supporters that you find in some establishments, but a really friendly bunch of fanatics ready to cheer on the country win-or-lose. Although my dad didn't wear the promised silly hat, Girlyrob outdid herself by sporting an England shirt... and an England skirt... and an England bikini underneath...

It was without a doubt one of the best atmospheres I've ever experienced whilst watching a match in a pub with everyone singing and chanting and laughing... big thankyous to the Marborough staff who kept us topped up throughout the sweaty afternoon so that we could enjoy the game! Go England!
