Shinky Shonky Seaside Special...
review
In lesser cities than Brighton, people could be scared off by the gratuitous level of campery at Shinky Shonky.
On arrival pop music is playing and the atmosphere is relatively subdued, as Boogaloo Stu, our host for the night, hands everyone a dirty bag and sweets to keep us happy.
Later in the evening, a selection of interesting characters are paraded for the audience's pleasure, or in some cases slight bemusement - with the highlight for me being 'Princess Knickers' - an old lady who stripped, much to the delight of the gathered crowd!
The pop kept on coming long into the night. This was a fun opening to what should be a really great week!
...here comes Pride!

If Brighton is widely regarded as the gay capital of the UK, then Revenge is its Big Gay Cathedral. A whopping two floors of a club, giving you a choice of music music, decor and people. And with both floors being so big you can stand and chat by the bar without having to scream at each other over the music. Sitting in the windows upstairs you can while away your time looking out over the Pier or ... The next Revenge date for your diary:
