Whoop! Clap! Yeee-hah! The hollering was easier; it was the heavy footwork co-ordinating with the alcohol-influenced brain that didn’t want to do as it was told!

This pride I somehow ending up in the Lines & Bears tent, which as it happens was a lovely place to end up. Full of community atmosphere and dancers ranging from the complete novice (me) to the absolute professional (everybody else!).

A combination of open dances and instructional classes kept the crowd enthralled and everyone from grannies to trannies had a go and joined in.

It was surprisingly a lot of fun and definitely worth a go, just don’t drink too much beforehand because it does get rather nasty! Look out for the local line-dancing group and get involved, even if just to Yeee-hah a few times!
