Pride 2006 : Wild Fruit...
review
Heat? What heat? 16,00 partygoers hardly noticed it... once they'd all stripped down to their underwear.
Unfortunately REALBrighton didn't last long in the club before complete melt-down (the camera lens still hasn't de-fogged itself, three days later), but that didn't mean that we didn't have fun! A roomful of sweaty Pride revellers, the usual fan-bloody-tastic music from the Fruit DJs and guests in three rooms, lights, sound and plenty of action. Loved it, and went home with a big smile (and plenty of sweat) on my face.
If the heat worried you (and I can quite see why it may have), then Wild Fruit is encouraging you to write to the club to voice your concerns:
IF YOU CAN’T STAND THE HEAT...
Apologies to all who found Wild Fruit @ Creation just a bit too hot to handle last Sunday which was one of the busiest Wild fruit’s ever with over heated bodies everywhere!
We have been campaigning to get Creations air-con improved for a very, very long time now and we are fully aware that the venue has been far too hot during this summers exceptional heat for either comfort or glamour.
We have always tried to remedy this situation with large electric fans which we hire in especially for Wild fruit but our efforts seemed to make little difference to the intolerable heat on Sunday.
Since our constant enquiries on your behalf to Luminar Leisure and indeed the previous operators of the venue appear to make little difference to the situation we would like to urge those of you who feel as strongly as we do about it to send your thoughts by email directly to those responsible at manager@creationbrighton.com and please cc to jayson@creationbrighton.com and info@wildfruit.co.uk.
We honestly hope that this will help to highlight what is to us unacceptable heat in our favourite venue and that we may all be allowed to party without to much sweat in future. Rest assured that we will do all we can to limit excessive heat @ Wild Fruit for our next party on 27th August & look forward to your continued support.

The monthly Wild Fruit is undoubtedly one of Brighton's clubbing institutions. Always glamorous, always packed and always great music from resident DJs Pete Haywood, Neil Duffie and friends. The night is often punctuated with stage acts, muscly dancers, regular live big name PAs and guest DJs such as local superstar DJ Norman Cook... it's NEVER a dull party!
