The divine Honeyclub, with all its plush décor, hosted a very special night for us Axwell fans. An outstanding DJ whose talent has produced some of the best known house hits such as Put 'em high, Feel the vibe and the smash hit Wait a minute.
Playing a 4 hour set from midnight, Axwell stopped only to take a quick drag on a fag or to drink copious amounts of water. As well as giving us classic pieces of house music, other combos were entered into the fray, at one point we were dancing to Monster by The Automatic, as well as tunes by Bloc Party with a twisted disco beat.
Axwell took centre stage in the main room, kitted out with the best lights, sound and lavish scenery, whilst the Honeybar next door offered a quieter, less intense space to dance. The patio doors were wide open, with chairs and tables round the front for a breath of fresh air and a break from the sound.
The VIP room above the main area seemed to have a constant supply of whisky on tap, whilst out the back there was a small RnB room, giving a huge variety of music in one single club.
The recent refit really suits the club, and the staff and crowd are as always, friendly and kind!
