Andy B hosted this ever popular, hilarious event and was joined by no less than EIGHT guest judges! I initially thought they were the contestants all lined up there!

I was pleased to see all the real contestants making their individual entrances one after the other - ensuring they got the attention of everyone in this friendly fun pub. As you'll see from the pictures everyone made a massive effort, perhaps with the exception of one Lady - and I use that term loosely! She was Betty Swollocks' Niece I’m told! There were plenty of tailor-made frocks and stunning hair pieces to catch the judges eyes.

As to be expected, the judges posed several questions to each participant hoping eek out the person behind the make-up and to be introduced to the lady before them. Of course there were some funny answers and some moving ones, as well as a lot of attitude from the Littlehampton posse!

In the end the winner of the funniest drag act was Tom one of the barmen at the pub who came in on his night off, ran upstairs and ‘Borrowed’ one of Betty Swollocks dresses to be part of the action. Five mintues later we had another contestant. I loved the trainers & dress look! YOU GO GIRL!

The winner with her Kinky Boots had all the right levels of swagger and charm the judges were looking for as well as a unique look. She walked away with the British Airways tickets for two to Gran Canaria and the honour of being the Queens Arms Bell Of The Ball 2006.

Well done to all the Ladies who entered the competition, please ensure you login to REALBrighton, and write your drag name under your individual photos before you get renamed by the other naughty REALBrighton members!

JAMIEB’s favourite photo of the night: Ricky in his brown dress getting pulled off the stage mid-song by Betty Swollocks... I was only joking saying you should do that you know!

loved it!

I loved the event cos it gave me a chance to strut my stuff in my 6" heels and my gorgeous taylor made dress, as well as a fab wig I managed to pin up myself! Although I didn't win - the evening was fantastic and all my congratulations goes to Koonetta - She's fab.
