Hats off to Pride for a fabulous Dog Show up at the Racecourse, one of this year's fundraising events so that we can all enjoy the Big Day on August 9th.

They came in all shapes and sizes. Small and cute to big and fierce. And the dogs came in an abundance of varieties too. People travelled from far and wide to show off their prize canines, some taking things seriously and some just there for the fun of it. There was a great atmosphere and a lovely community feel about the whole event.

With over 500 visitors, and nearly as many dogs descending upon Brighton Racecourse this was without a doubt a great success. The weather was good (yes, I got sunburned AGAIN!) and over £2200 was raised for the cause.

Joe McGann, the celebrity judge, took it all in his stride and seemed to thoroughly enjoy his stint as judge for the novelty categories... see the photos towards the end of the day for the 'dog that looks most like the judge' award!

A lovely day was had by all, and we're already looking forward to next year's event. Now then, where did I put that brush... Here Shep... Heal... Oh never mind.
