Planet Trade...
review
There ain't no disco on earth like Trade! The Original Afterhours, founded by the legendary Laurence Malice and The Trade Collective, celebrated it's 16th birthday at Turnmills in Farringdon on Saturday.
I've been a dedicated Trade Baby for many years now and Trade always delivers... Trade has been the birthplace for the career of numerous big name DJs including Tony Di Vit, Tall Paul and Fergie is also responsible for bringing many underground musical genres into mainstream clubbing.
On Saturday there were two floors floors featuring the fierce rulin’ Trade DJs, with the third floor hosted by another London club legend, CRASH. The lite lounge (my spiritual Home) featured the legend that is Fat Tony... and Tyron, as well as Guy William and Kelly Marie with the amazing JOY on Percussion and Tonnic on vocals. The (harder) main room featured superstar DJ Steve Thomas in addition to Gonzalo, Lady Bianca, Lisa German, Malcolm Duffy and Pete Wardman. The CRASH dancefloor featured Paul Heron, Mikey D & Brent Nicholls.
If you haven't yet been to trade then keep an eye on REALLondon's listings for details of the next event! There ain't no disco on Earth like Trade! See you on the dancefloor.
After Trade we popped along to another legendary London night Horsemeat Disco at South Central in Vauxhall's Gay village every Sunday Night. "The ones" were on stage and a most amazing DJ Set by DJ Jim Stanton. Disco classic heaven!
