Purple Monkeys...
review
Words of advice are bandied around aplenty when it comes to planning what to do on NYE. The panic! The risk! What to do!
Alcohol, good music, a nice venue and cute boys are pretty standard. But throwing in a Monkey?
The night started off with much anticipation at Monkey’s first NYE celebration and the turnout proved plenty of party goers were willing to take a chance having had some great nights here since the night began earlier this year. It was a slick festive operation from the moment you whizzed through the well-managed queue to coat check.
The deep red decor of this always welcoming venue always puts everyone in good spirits and the dancefloor was as seductive as ever as turntable heroine Dulcie Danger spun the funkiest house and dance toons to all's delight.
Regular reminders of how long it was until the magic midnight hour punctuated the beats only serving to tease the already ecstatic crowd into giddy fits of anticipation. The countdown started and the atmosphere gave you the impression the whole world was having a party at that very moment!
Continuing well into the wee hours and with the opportunity for a photo call with 3 real life Monkey logo hosts with tails, clad in purple lycra and Monkey masks it was a great night had by all and I'll be booking my tickets early for next year!
