Marking the official opening of the 2007 Winter Pride festivities, Wild Fruit was filled with loverboys and girls, soaking up the valentines atmosphere, cheering on the DJs and generally proving that Brighton still knows how to party!
Tonight special guest DJ Dizire Dubfire joined the Dulcie Danger, Neil Duffie and Mr Haywood in the main room, with Diva Shena who, to the crowd's delight, stopped the show to demonstrate her considerable vocal talents... I can't wait - for the weekend to begin! Meanwhile in Bamboogie, Kate and Richard played the night out with anthems and old school disco in inimitable style.
We have it on good authority that this evening's fundraising party takes the total raised by Wild Fruit to well over the £100,000 mark. This really is an astonishing achievement for Paul and his fabulous team and deserves to be recognised as the milestone that it is. Congratulations to Wild Fruit for consistently pulling out all the stops and thus ensuring that Brighton remains high up there as a destination city - and for supporting the community every step of the way.
Wild Fruit is a club that has gone from strength to strength over the last 15 years... here's to the next 15!
...a note received from Wild Fruit regarding Rebel:
Brighton seafront was plunged into darkness on Monday morning when a power cut meant that, among other venues and businesses, Rebel was forced to shut early bringing our fabulous party night to a premature end. We hope you all weren’t too disappointed and in return for all your good humoured patience and understanding that night - we would like to offer all last weeks Rebel partygoers FREE entry to Monkey @ The Gloucester before 11pm on Saturday 10th and 17th February, (with REALBrighton voucher printout ) we hope to see you all again very soon X
loved it!
Great funky toons and a friendly crowd as always to chase away the winter blues. Still wearing my fake sailor boy tattoos under my work shirt!

Came down to Brighton for my friend's birthday & Wild Fruit was the icing of the cake... great night although we kept ending up walking into locked doors and towards fire exits (doh!) O & the boy with the white shirt & black tie made my night... (now why didn't I say hello?)
