What a fabulous way to raise money for Pride... Everyone buys Euros (at 5 for £1, commission free, it's a better deal than Thomas Cook) and stuffs them into the pants of the boy of their choice. Whoever has the most Euros as the end of the night, wins. Simple. Or so you'd think.

I arrived in plenty of time to get the candidates plying the gathered crowd for their Euros. And in plenty of time to see Torsten and Matt arrive into the middle of the scene and within seconds are unwittingly (or so they would have us believe) signed up as potential Mr Gay Amsterdams.

But of course Torsten doesn't sign up for anything without a plan.

He begins touring the bar and shouting for the camera, "take our picture for REALBrighton.com". Of course I rarely turn down the opportunity to photograph anything. "A kiss is worth more than 5 Euros, surely?" I hear him say after he's snogged the face off another defenceless teenager.

And so he gathers his tickets together and it has to be said, things are looking good. Until Number Eight gets a wedge of notes stuffed into his leather harness. Someone had emptied the bank, buying £30 in one go and lavishing them on their chosen winner.
