Happy Birthday Chrissie...
review
A very special Ignition saw Chrissie's Birthday Party celebrations - and a very busy one it was too!
Chrissie is currently receiving care at The Marlett's Hospice, so you have to admire the girl for getting out there for her 50th Birthday Celebrations.
Thanks must go to all the organisers and helpers to make this a celebration to remember, including the lovely Sarah, who looked scrummy in her bow tie and tails! Also to Rachel and Margaret who assisted in organising the event to almost military precision.
Also, thanks to the The Martlett's Hospice staff for being on hand and allowing Chrissie to celebrate her birthday with all her friends.
The increasingly popular Saturday Nighter at Legends hosted the event in style and we were also treated to sets from DJs Madhatter, Brenda Blendah, Fondue Inferno, Richard Jones and Magnus on the decks and fantastic performances from both Daryll (aka Miss Hap) and Taz (who proved herself to be a Dancefloor Diva sensation). All gave their time for free to celebrate Chrissie's Birthday.
The organisers have also asked us to mention their appreciation to all the local St James Street and George Street businesses who donated prizes for the raffle.
Legends Proprietor, Tony Chapman, kindly allowed advance tickets to be sold for the event and with 150 tickets sold raising £750 and the raffle proceeds, the fundraising total in aid of Martlets Hospice raised an hugely impressive £843.29.
