Perfect Pete!...
review
Local hero and Big Brother winner Pete Bennett treated us to a burst of his unique energy at the Concorde tonight.
First up were Selfservice - an indie rockpop four piece who got the crowd moving with decent drumming, good sound and really unusual lead vocals. Gary Phelan followed close behind with an interesting range of styles from 'one man and his guitar' through to more full-on rock. Some beautifully written, meaningful tracks. The solo numbers were sung with particular emotion and enthusiasm, and went down very well with the crowd.
Finally, Pete was up. Unsurprisingly the man everyone had been waiting for - the crowd in front of the stage quickly swelled as he appeared - full of energy. He was soon in full swing, leaping around the stage in real contrast to the more sedate support acts. Pete rattled through five or six songs in pretty quick succession, not really giving the crowd a chance to stop and think! Once he'd finished his set he wandered out into the crowd to chat to people, letting people take photos of him and generally proving himself to be an all-round nice guy.

Hey! i also attented the Pete Bennett gig at the concorde 2 in Brighton!
being a big fan of the man himself me and a few of his fans "also known as Twonkers" went along to show our support!
The gig was wicked and we had a great laugh, Petes stage presence was amazing and he really peformed well! we were all so proud of him and are looking forward to more Pete gigs! xx

I was front row at Pete Bennett's gig and I ABSOLUELY LOVED the show! His performance was full of energy and charisma and he showed himself to be an amazing performer. His songs are unique and he has a true talent for song writing, The crowd were enjoying themselves and Pete owned the stage. To top off an amazing show, he mingled with the crowd afterwards showing himself to be the kind hearted guy we all know him to be.

I thought this gig was AMAZING!
I went for Perfect Pete,because i'm such a fan of his, but then listening to the other acts of the night, they are also really good. Personally i though pete was the best, and attracted most of the audiences attention with his techno/Rock music! he is fantastic live too! He really got everyone dancing and some (me especially) singing away to his songs!

i was also at petes gig with friends and just want to say we all had a fantastic time and that pete was awesome on stage and his charisma just shines through.
i will defintely be going to another of his gigs.

It was a great gig! Pete had so much character and personality on stage and the floor certainly filled up when he came on, his songs are the biz!

Okay, so you may have to walk a bit to reach it... but that just makes it that little bit more exclusive doesn't it! Located along Madeira Drive, the Concorde 2 is a sizeable venue with a huge variety of clubnights and bands on each month. Some top names, some great festivals, World Music... you name it. If you can't find something to pique your interest then you might as well pack your bags and head for Eastbourne... The next Concorde 2 date for your diary:
