Uniform Pleasures...
review
I have a confession to make [looks nervously around].. I've never been to Wild Fruit. You see, everytime Wild Fruit is on, there is such a plethora of enthusiastic volunteers to cover it, we've never really had the opportunity. I tend to get sent off to cover Peacehaven Paperfolding Competitions instead.
However, with half of REALBrighton towers overseas (or underfoot, depending on how you look at it), Huw and I thought we'd do our duty and pop into Wild Fruit, having maybe a few preconceptions but very little idea what it was all about.
While our colleague, Chris, was poking his lens into every available nook and cranny, we went off to explore!
Bloody hell, were we impressed - how the penny dropped, the missing jigsaw piece appeared (and a host of other old chestnut euphamisms cropped up).
A heaving dancefloor - the theme well and truly adhered to and a host of lovely, lovely people.
Mention must go to the wonderful Pete Hayward, Neil Duffie and Dulcie Danger for keeping the music fantastic and the crowd smiling and moving!
loved it!

about Wild Fruit

The monthly Wild Fruit is undoubtedly one of Brighton's clubbing institutions. Always glamorous, always packed and always great music from resident DJs Pete Haywood, Neil Duffie and friends. The night is often punctuated with stage acts, muscly dancers, regular live big name PAs and guest DJs such as local superstar DJ Norman Cook... it's NEVER a dull party! The next Wild Fruit date for your diary:
Sunday, 24th August
