Mr Star Bear 2007 Competition...
review
I've never seen the Star so full! I arrived a little early and walked straight into a hen night - was I in the right place?! Thankfully I was, and very soon the pub filled up with Brighton's hairiest and beariest punters. With DJ Mickey on the decks and manager Russ on the pumps - we were in for a treat.
Trudi Styles was the glamorous compere for the evening, and as well as charming us with her beautiful singing voice, managed to keep the man-hungry crowd in check.
Roughly 10 brave blokes (and Momma Bear), had put themselves into the spotlight for our pleasure, and in true pageant style we were introduced to each contestant in turn. More than once the excitable crowd demanded the removal of clothing, to assess the contestants on essential criteria. It would've been rude not to.
After a short interval the winners were announced, in reverse order, naturally. I didn't see the number of votes received, but I'm guessing from the crowd reaction it was pretty much a landslide. Well done chaps. Thanks to Trudi and Russ for a great night and congratulations to Mr Star Bear 2007.
