Fake Bush...
review
It’s hard not to be impressed by Fake Bush (Lucy Bundy) who captures audiences with her perfect renditions of Bush songs. Tonight her show was beatifully set against the intimate Baroque surroundings of the Joogleberry Playhouse, and she had a few surprises for us.
Tonight she took us through a dynamic tour of music and costumes, where she revelled in the part of Kate, flawlessly and effortlessly reproducing Kate’s famous warble and offering an imaginative spin on costumes and dance that left the audience reeling for more.
Not just one, but two encores later she had a little surprise for us. Tucked away in the audience was the fabulous Patrick, an unequalled local pianist who added a new level of intimacy to the final two songs.
Working perfectly together they ended with This woman’s work and an unusual but incredible Fake Bush cover of David Bowie’s Lady Grinning Soul giving us a small taster of what Fake Bush Unpluggedmight be like.
loved it!
Fan-bloody-tastic! LOVED the Cloudbusting machine, and what a voice! We laughed a lot - and will be coming back for more. Could she be better than the real thing??? Charlielou, 9 Apr 2007 [+]
