The Ceasar Twins...
review
We had a lovely evening at the Udderbelly. We drank pints of Asahi at the Udderbelly bar, we popped into the Festival Club once the Twins had vacated the big purple cow and danced along to an eclectic mix of music from the resident DJ. We even did a spot of acrobatics on the Udderbelly stage...
Unfortunately though, tonight's REALBrighton photo review of the Ceasar Twins wasn't to be. When presented by the Ceasar Twins' management with a contract which, for the sum of £1, forced us to sign over copyright of all our photos to them and for us to then grant them permission to use the images in any way they saw fit in return for no money we opted out. Given that we felt unable to photograph the show we decided we would reinact a few scenes from it at the after-show party instead... hope you enjoy.
We're not really feeling very generous with our words either, so rather than tell you all the things we didn't like about them (yes, very pretty and certainly talented... but did the show impress us - or did it all feel a bit disparate?) we thought we'd let you, our trusty REALBrighton Audience, have your say... what did you think of the show? let us know what you thought of it and we'll publish the best mini reviews below!
Twiggy had this to say about going to see them:
We went and sat in the front and one of them landed on my lap whilst wearing only pants! Which was nice I guess! All the boys I went with were stupildy jealous!
But MrTinker was a little less impressed:
At the end of the day, it was what we had expected... Two Bros lookalikies performing acrobatics to obscure techno. In Le Clique it was funny and it was set in the magical Spiegaltent supported by some amazing acts.
However, the Udderbelly is hardly as exciting or romantic as the Spiegletent was and the amazing in-between acts were replaced by odd slideshows of the Twins previous sexual conquests! Hardly worth the ticket price!
FUNNIEST BIT: The twins re-enacting the 16 metre fall from the Wheel Of Death on a platform less than 1 meter from the ground... scary!
WEIRDEST BIT: The technician/singer dismantling a sofa whilst smoking a fag.
