Honey's Third Birthday...
review
Honey, one of the Honeyclub's biggest and bestest nights out, was my introduction to Brighton clubbing way back in 2003 and what an experience it was!
It's a night that is all about the music, looking good and having fun, and tonight we were invited to don our school uniform and party along with DJ Mickey Slim, Noir, Ian C (on percussion), Ben Prok and Lee Garret!
Over Honey's three years it has seen the Honeyclub have a complete refit, transforming the venue into a high-tech, gorgeously lit, amazing sounding location. The bar staff, resident DJs, dancers, security, management and promoters are all genuinely great people you end up with a fantastic all round club night taking center stage on Brighton beach.
In some clubs having a 'back to school' dress code might be a bit cheesy but at Honey they pulled it off with style, continuing to keep things fun and a little bit silly. Even the DJs got in on the act having as much fun as everyone else. The night had the added twist if a live drummer/synth thing breaking up the wall of wires, vinyl and CDs us clubbers are often used to!
Not even a giant inflatable purple cow could overshadow the night!
