Well, what can I say?
The opening parade of the infamous LaTroya!
La Troya runs every wednesday @ Space, Ibiza. They had their opening parade through the Old Town on Wednesday 13th June. The production was huge! With around 50-60 Dancers and Performance Artists! The theme was red and black and they laid on everything from Club Freak to Muscle Boy to Post Ops to 'just plain strange'!
Baby Marcello arrived fashionably late - well it is his gig! Dressed head to toe in asymetrical black and white! Leading the parade on death defying stilts! God knows how he managed the cobbled back streets of the port's gay area!
When we eventually arrived at the club (sorry there are no photos but Space are really strict on cameras!) the party kicked off! With a mixed, up for it crowd the atmosphere was electric!
One thing that did stike me about Space (the club) was that it was a bit like a warehouse... not exactly big on soul! The design is a bit like Luton Airport! But Baby Marcello and the production team soon made us forget about that! It was one of the most visual parties I've been at in a long time.
I have been to La troya at Area in Vauxhall but you really need to do it Ibiza style to understand why this party is an island institution!
