The Zone kicked off their Pride fundraising in the run up to this year's Summer Festival with this day of entertainment, courtesy of a galaxy of local talent.
Hosted by the statuesque Spice, the lineup included Betty Swollocks, Julie Glitter, Candy Rel, Miss Hap, Ricky Royale and a host of others.
In addition to donations placed on top of the price of drinks, a bucket was frequently shaken around the venue - with monies raised going towards the cost of this year's Pride event - helping to keep the event free to summer revellers.
Well done to Sharon and her team for putting the fun into fundraising!
loved it!
After driving back from Bournemouth, I hosted from about 8.30 and have to say how wonderful a day it was.
All the acts that took part gave themselves completely and the customers were very generous.
The total raised was £382.50 which included 20 pence from every drink sold. I am sure you will agree for such a small bar this is a great achievement.
All those entertaining and deserving thanks:
'Straight' Steve - for singing and sound from start to finish...
Spice - for hosting first half (and a bit while I drove back from B)
Davina Sparkle
Deborah D'Arcy
Julie Glitter
Candy Rell
Betty Swollocks

And me, of course, MissHap!
Not forgetting of course Sharon, Rachel, Derek and all the staff of the Zone. xxXXxx

It was great to have so many people enjoy themselves and due to a few traffic problems my other self Candy Rel was forced to do her first charity performance with no warning!!!
