The Amsterdam Is Three!...
review
Right in the middle of all the action, complete with sun terrace (complete with requisite patio heaters for the long Brighton summers!), a swish new bar, a restaurant with tasty snacks and meals, plenty of places to sit and watch the world go by and lots of friendly staff... is the Amsterdam. And tonight it was celebrating three years under new ownership.
Not one to pass up free food, REALBrighton was obviously there to make sure the night was recorded for posterity. DJ Justin K was spinning the tunes, and the food was delicious... Many Happy Returns to Alex and the team!

The Amsterdam occupies a prime position on the seafront, overlooking the Brighton Pier (the one that's still standing) and in the heart of the busy St James' Street / Kemptown area. Amsterdam Hotel, a gay and lesbian hostelry, stands unashamedly on the seafront with excellent views of Brighton Pier and the beach. Tucked beneath [cid:417] and [cid:30] is The Amsterdam Sauna. A small and intimate space welcoming gay and bisexual men from 2pm until 5am (last entry 4am) every day.

It's no secret that Justin has been seen tucked well away behind dimly -lit DJ booths around Brighton, putting out his blend of ‘Old vs New’ house tunes to suit the masses, young and old. With a solid history of Brighton venues, spanning the last 3 years and regular appearances at private parties, this is a fiery man who plays in the underbelly of the town, and sometimes on the quiet.
