Pokeno Pies was the perhaps unlikely stage for an evening of food, wine and Victorian entertainment in the form of Lady James and Scott Selby.

If you thought it was an odd idea to decide to dine out on pie-and-mash then Pokeno pies will change your opinion of that very quickly. Although I didn't dine myself - the pies smelled divine and were devoured by the audeince. Accompanied by mash, veggies, gravy and with the restaurant licensed to serve wine, the humble pie is transformed into a dinner fit for a king.

Entertainment was top notch tonight, with the duo sharing amusing tales with us and performing music hall classics that, by the end of the night, had the whole room singing along.
