It may be small, but size isn't everything - and, with its friendly, welcoming charm, The Marine Tavern deserves to see me more often. Tucked away in Broad Street, just spitting distance from St James's Street, it's in the heart of our gay 'village', yet I too rarely remember to pop in.

A great place to meet friends old or new, the team at The Marine are on hand to serve up your favourite drinks and make you feel at home whenever you next visit.

about Marine Tavern

The Marine Tavern is a small and cosy traditional pub (remember those?), where the bar staff are friendly and so are the customers. Predominantly gay men prop up the bar while camp music plays without intruding into conversation. With a pub quiz every week and various fundraising activities on the odd occasion, this establishment is how a gay pub should be - free from attitude and part of the comm...
