A whole LGBT arts exhibition is running throughout the Brighton Pride festival and about time too! Organiser, Robyn, has teamed up with a host of artists of varying media along with Sejuice, Pokeno Pies and the PV to bring a touch of culture to this year's celebrations.
To kick off the arts programme, the PV hosted a launch party featuring a number of our favourite local artists and artistes, including singer/songwriters Amy Stephens and Al Start, poets Rebecca Duffy and Vince Laws and the sensational reverse-strip-artist, Violetta. Playing to a surprisingly appreciative crowd for a Friday night, the party continued with DJ De Mad Hat playing her trademark of eclectic mix of tunes.
Get yourself along to the Gardner Street and Upper North Street venues and have a look - you can also buy selected pieces to add or start your own collection of local art.
