GEMS: Poetry in Motion...
review
GEMS (Gay Elderly Men's Society) organised a Pride event, funded by a Pride Grant, where members and their friends could enjoy a film showing, poetry and art and buffet.
The film was a feature presentation of a new Clare Summerskill play, sponsored by Age Concern England. The art exhibition consisted of drawings and painting by John Henson and the group also enjoyed an evening of socialising and fond memories of trips down the River Arun and other GEMS events.
Events like these are surely what Pride is all about!
