With every feather in place, every sequin stitched on and with plenty of sunblock sploshed liberally on everyone's exposed parts (I think Boots ought to be donating half the profits of their sunscreen sales this weekend to Pride!) the parade was off!

Given the fabulous weather it was no surprise to see what must have been tens of thousands of people gathered near the start line, lining the seafront...

A brilliantly colourful, fabulous parade with lots of support for our emergency services and police. The sun shone like crazy. Loved it - well done to all those involved.

The sun was shining, my skin was tanning, the music was blaring... what more could I have asked for? I felt so proud to be walking with some fantastic people during my favourite time of the year. It was superb!! It's just a shame it only happens once a year.
