Former Operations Manager of Pride, PJ Aldred, celebrated her last day in style with friends and colleagues at The PV, and a very fitting tribute it was too.

So many colleagues from media and local authorities, all of whom worked alongside PJ, was testament to the hard work that PJ has put into strengthening relationships between Pride and the local community.

Also in attendance was The Right Worshipful the Mayor of the City of Brighton & Hove, Councillor Carol Theobald who also made a speech. There were more presentations from Pride in Brighton & Hove's Lead Trustee, Josh Mills, ex-Chair of Pride and publisher of 3Sixty and One80 Magazines, David Harvey. Little (?) old me also got up and introduced a screen tribute to the years of hard work that PJ has put into Brighton Pride - now one of the most successful Prides in the world.

Entertainment was provided by Lady James who is taking over the Cabaret Tent next year.

We would say we are sad to see PJ go, but as far as we're concerned, she's not going anywhere having very wisely asked us to provide her online marketing solutions for her new venture, www.aldredassociates.co.uk. However, we're certainly going to miss the laughter and tears that we always shared over Pride!
