review

New Young Pony Club finally played Brighton! Having cancelled their last couple of gigs down here the questions is... was it worth the wait?

NYPC, as they are known by their fans, are probably best known on the mainstream music circuit for their song 'Ice Cream' which was made popular by an Intel advert on TV. The band has been around for about two years supporting the like of The Klaxons, Lily Allen and on an NME tour with CSS and the Sunshine Underground.

The only way I can sum up the night was: it rocked! Their best song had to be the cover of Pump Up The Jam which really got the crowd going. I've got a feeling that the next time they play Brighton it'll be rammed... this is non-commercial music at its finest and is guaranteed to get you dancing!
