Brighton bred girls Electrelane returned home to perform what could very well be their last ever gig. The Pavilion Theatre playing perfect host to this final airing.
Their full-on instrumental rock jams complemented the lighter parts of the show perfectly where singer Verity reeled the audience into a state of pure reverence, before together upping the pace yet again into an invigorating gallop before collapsing in a mountain of joy. ‘On Parade’ and ‘I’m on Fire’ are perfect specimens of just how this indie quartet like it best whilst slower tracks such as ‘Birds’ have the power to completely envelope those listening.
After a double encore and excited audience members running, jumping and diving from the stage into sea of Electrelane lovers, the girls ended the evening on an unbelievable high that will surely be etched into the memories of those lucky enough to have witnessed this final offering for the foreseeable future.
As for Electrelane, it's indefinite hiatus, but we'll be waiting with open arms.
