Celebrated local photorgapher and all-round nice guy Mark Vessey unveiled a really lovely new exhibition of work on Friday. The show is called ' Seene' and is a retrospective look through his photos on exploration and discovery of the scene in various guises and locations. The centrepiece of the gallery is the absolutely huge copy of 'Attitude', Mark's shot of the magazine bindings which catches your eye from the other side of the street as you approach O Contemporary!

A percentage of some of the pieces will go to the Terrence Higgins Trust - helping them mark their 25th anniversary and with Mark's artwork being displayed on more than 10,000 safer sex packs being distributed by the THT across the South East.

If you drop in on the exhibition (and you really should... it's free and it's lovely!) you'll want to take a couple of minutes to read Simon Fanshawe's words that are displayed on the wall next to the Attitude piece. He tells the story behind the photos beautifully - complimenting the various fabulous shots of streaky lights, Jodie Harsh, condoms and rent boys!

The show is on at O Contemporary in Trafalgar Street, North Laine - just down from Brighton Station - until the 11th of February 2008.
