review

What better way to festively frolic than down at the Amsterdam for their Christmas Party? The delicious Joan Bond and Spice were on hand offering Winter Pimms and Vodka poured through an ice-sculpted torso... mmmm! It was warm and cosy inside, though I'm sure that was snow I saw snow blowing around out on the terrace (I have a sneaking suspicion it was coming from the Amsterdam balcony - but I don't want to spoil the illusion!)

The evening raised money for THT who had a stall set up by the bar. Local businesses had donated prizes to the raffle with a £100 anti-aging facial from Spruce, vouchers for Clone Zone, Bono Foodie, chocolates, wine, Religion golden ticket, meals at Charles Street and a night in the Amsterdam hotel. Laavly!

With staff suitably adorned in glitter for the occasion and with a relaxed atmosphere throughout - it was the perfect start, middle or end to a festive night on the tiles!

loved it!

As you may know over the festive period The Amsterdam used it's Christmas party on the 22nd of December 2008 to raise money for THT and our New Years Eve Party to raise money for ADCAF (Abandoned & destitute children's appeal fund) which is the Amsterdam Hotels owners personal charity in India and Nepal.

The Christmas Party on the 22nd of December was hosted by Ms Joan Bond and Spice. The total raised at the event was £163.90 which has all gone to THT.

The New Years Eve Party at The Amsterdam raised £400 which was collected from the tickets sold on the night and in advance of the event. All of this money raised has gone to ADCAF which is a very worthy cause.

We have several more events planned in the very near future and The Amsterdam remains committed to raising money for our local charities and our in house charities. We would like to thank all of the local businesses, guests and customers who gave so generously over the festive period.

Thanks

Ben Davie

about Amsterdam Bar & Bistro

The Amsterdam occupies a prime position on the seafront, overlooking the Brighton Pier (the one that's still standing) and in the heart of the busy St James' Street / Kemptown area. A hotel, bar and sauna all under one roof, with a prominant terrace at the front, its the natural place for everyone to make a beeline for the minute the sun peeks through the clouds in the summer.

The next Amsterdam Bar & Bistro date for your diary:

Saturday, 26th July
The Over The Rainbow Fundraiser (Pride in Brighton & Hove)
