review

For those who live nearer to the Perimeter Fence than the Promenade there is The Fountain, in Handcross. A country pub now under gay ownership that is packing in the local disco / trolly dollies, as well as the villagers themselves.

The place was absolutely heaving, and almost everyone had made an effort with costumes and makeup (some didn't need to). The bar staff were valiantly putting on a brave face to the overwhelming crowds who just couldn't get enough.

Miss Lasagne produced a thumper of a show, and was even presented with her very own broomstick and skeleton familiar by a mystery benefactor.

Sadly for us we had to leave fairly early, but we'll be back! We love drinking at The Fountain! Well done boys! Watch out for more special events.

Very scary!

about The Fountain Inn

The Fountain Inn has established itself as one of the favourite local pubs in the Crawley & Gatwick area with a truly mixed crowd of regulars - both gay and straight. In the picturesque surroundings of Handcross - a charming Sussex Village, from the outside you'd be forgiven in thinking it's just another traditional country pub. Step inside, however, and you'll think again - it's a tale of two halves.
