Who's on top?

Having not been around much for ages, I've not been to Revenge in a while and some things have definitely changed. A bit of a layout change, shiny new toilets, some new nights and a once again packed dancefloor were all good to see.
GirlsOnTop having launched a couple of months back and taken Thursday nights by storm, tonight saw a bit of a relaunch, with the addition of BoysOnTheSide. But all was not quite as I expected...
GirlsOnTop has proved so popular, that it's been promoted to the downstairs dancefloor, so BoysOnTheSide was actually on top. Maybe a name change could be in order... perhaps BoysOnTopOfGirlsOnTheBottomAtTheSide? Then again, maybe not.
Anyway, the girls' floor was absolutely packed - not just with girls - and the party tunes were thumping, with a fair helping of commercial dance, chart and some more girly anthems. DJs Smiffy and Lady Bex provided the soundtrack, with Stewart T spinning a few sounds too.
Upstairs, or OnTheSide, depending how you want to look at it, Gaydar Radio guest DJ Gary H and resident Jonny M kept the boys (and their female friends) entertained with sets more for the funky house fans.
Drinks were a very reasonable £2 and I did my best to take advantage of them. Later, they may have taken advantage of me, but we all had a good time, even if we didn't make the taxi we meant to... Hope you got home okay Dale!?
loved it!
We are so lucky in Brighton to have so many great nights to go to on a Thursday! I love popping in to each venue and catching up with all my friends (who all have such diverse taste in music) and the club owners have priced all the venue's perfectly so we are able to do this :)
