Rebel Rocks!...
review
The Beach was transformed and renamed Coalition some months back, and to give it a good airing the Fruit team brought us a Saturday night special: Rebel Rocks.
Usually reserved for the post-Fruit parties, Rebel is a slightly darker dance experience than it's fruity older brother.
Tonight's one-off party was a bloody good night on the town with the usual quality music and a dark-and-sexy atmosphere. As well as top music from resident DJs Mr Hawood and Jonny M and guest DJ Lady Bianca (Trade), there was live percussion from David H (dancing to your favourite tracks with a drummer going insane on stage is something every clubber should experience at least once in their lives) and there were live vocals from MC Crystal (dancing along to your favourite tracks with live MC over the top is also something everything should do!).
Loving Rebel and can't wait for the next instalment! Not loving my all day hangover on Sunday, but I guess it's a small price to pay for a great night.

The monthly Wild Fruit is undoubtedly one of Brighton's clubbing institutions. Always glamorous, always packed and always great music from resident DJs Pete Haywood, Neil Duffie and friends. The night is often punctuated with stage acts, muscly dancers, regular live big name PAs and guest DJs such as local superstar DJ Norman Cook... it's NEVER a dull party! Next for Wild Fruit this Saturday: Monkey returns! @ Kooklub
