As part of the ongoing celebrations for Sharon's birthday (we hear she's...ahem...approaching 40), The Zone pulled out all the stops for this fundraising charity marathon hosted by the fabulous Sally Vate, Lady James and Miss Hap. There was a veritable queue of Brighton's talented cabaret stars waiting to take to the stage - we spotted David Rumelle, Krissie Du Cann, Jerome Lloyd and Davina Sparkle while we were there, along with scene personalities like Michael Greenbeard (current Golden Handbag Scene Personality of the Year, no less) and Sugar.
In aid of The Marlett's Hospice who also look after The Sussex Beacon, there was also a touching tribute to The Marlets from Raymond, the partner of Nikki Andrews - a Zone regular and staff member much loved and much missed since her passing in April.
Well done to everyone - staff, punters and performers who made this a great fundraising Sunday evening.

The best weekend I've had in years. The Zone is going from strength to strength - such a busy weekend and not one bit of trouble. As it normally is now. Thanks to everyone who gave their time and talent and to the Zones' staff and management.

I'm delighted to let you know that the total raised was £1313.98! A huge THANK YOU once again to everyone involved and to everyone who supported this event. A fitting tribute to Nikki Andrews.
