From the moment we stepped into the reception of the Grand Hotel I knew we where in for a very special night. With the lovely Ms Donna on my arm we glided through the lobby to the Champagne reception in a beautifully decorated function room.

We were mingling with the great and good of Brighton's charitable scene. Everyone bar myself and a couple of others were dressed to kill in black tie, and everyone had mad a very special effort to look as good as the cause they were all raising money for.

The evening was hosted by the award-winning comedian and local voice of reason Simon Fanshawe who kept us informed of the evening's proceedings and auctions as we dinned through a beautiful three course dinner.

All of the guests where digging deep my contributing to the Sussex Beacon Raffle and James Ledwood from G-Scene, on our table, took great advantage of winning several auctions including a helicopter ride! The auction was hosted by the talented Mr Mark Stacey from T.V’s Flog It!

Then to top of the evenings festivities, Simon Callow gave an amazing incite into his experiences and the importance of supporting the Sussex Beacon!

After several very large glasses of red wine and an amazing night supporting The Sussex Beacon, Ms Donna and I staggered to Legends for a well deserved night cap!
