The evening began on the busses... and fittingly our first bus out to 'Camp as Christmas' was dedicated to the fabulous Phil Starr - with the lovely Davina Sparkle as the 'clippy' (that's clippy not chippy).

On arrival at the magnificent Stanmer House we were welcomed with a glass of the fizzy stuff and then mingled with friends old and new. The "Brighton and Hove (actually) Gay Men's Chorus filled the entrance hall with familiar Christmas carols whilst in the marquee music of a more recent type was being played for dancing.

After the everso popular buffet we all gathered in the marquee for cabaret with the Absolutely Dragulous members, Dave Lynne, Jamie Watson, Miss Jason, Lady James and Connie Conway. The ever popular Mercedes Benz, complete with very cute dancers, brought the entertainment to a close.

With more socialising in the various beautiful rooms and bars ended the Stanmer House part of the evening.

As is quite usual for me - evenings often end in Legends bar and tonight was no different! The evening was deemed a great success by everybody... the busses and drivers were great, the house incredible and the team who organised it made it appear run like clockwork.

A big thank you to all who made this coming together of Gay Brighton a fantastic start to the festivities.
