It was time to big up the hair, puff out those shoulderpads, apply liberal amounts of makeup and generally be fabulous as we joined PJ in her 40th birthday celebrations, 80s style.

There was a whole host of familiar faces - Cagney & Lacey, Billy Idol, Madonna, Sue Ellen, Samantha Fox, Annie Lennox, Kids from Fame, Flashdancers, Steve Strange, Punks, New Romantics, Goths and, dare I say, one or two Working Girls!

Music was courtesy of The Charity Shop Girls (if you haven't caught them yet, then for goodness sake do - they're fabulous!) and a buffet of cheese & pineapple hedgehogs, cocktail sausages and retro sweets (including spacedust candy) - we were all transported back to the decade with the most mixed credibility.

Big thanks to the PV Girls for putting on another fab party and huge thanks to PJ's gal, Marion, for arranging the party and also secretly rifling through the family album to provide us with a few photos for the screen. Talking of which, another huge thumbs up to PJs family for getting into the swing of things too.
