Madeira Drive is a busy place in the hours before the parade kicks off. From the moment the first floats start rolling in to be dressed to 11am when everything begins its crawl around the city, the seafront road is a hive of activity. Last minute adjustments and repairs were made to costumes and trucks, lorries and cars were transformed into sea creatures and boats in keeping with the "Pride Beside The Seaside" theme of this year's event.

Some of these constructions and costumes took many weeks of hard work, with the Same Sky workshops once again playing a vital role in enabling many community groups to put together their entries to the parade.
