With décor that would put a Hollywood bash to shame, The Amsterdam was transformed into a boudoir of glamour and glitz for a 70th birthday party for owner, David Caulderhead.

Three birthdays were rolled into one, as John Caulderhead and Llityd Harrington DL, JP also joined in the fun in what turned out to be birthday celebrations of stellar proportions.

Black chandeliers, miles of star cloth, fabulous fabrics, a sea of balloons, a piano and a buffet on an international scale (along with a never ending supply of drinks - thanks David!) made the party go with a huge swing. Entertainment galore too - with aforementioned piano, a fabulous vocalist and glamourous hostesses Connie Conway and Lady James doing All Mouth & No Trousers - upped the glamour stakes too.

Of course, David won't mind me getting a plug in here - if you want a glorious party then this was proof beyond doubt that The Amsterdam can deliver just that!
