There was snow falling outside Vavoom tonight, and as seems to be customary, REALBrighton was in attendance at the Mr Gay Santa contest. We're pleased to report that year's contest was as completely disorderly and debauched as expected!

Somehwere between 5 and 10 people seemed to have entered the competition at various stages of the night (I wasn't counting and I'm not sure if anyone else was either!). Judging was done mostly, I think, by Betty Swallocks (in between her power naps) although the criteria for winning a prize was mostly to show some flesh and parade around in a pair of the skimpiest underwear that Alan could find.

Shots of Sourz were flowing and the contestants merrily strutted their stuff on the little stage upstairs, with the snow machine blowing a gale out on the balcony and a larger than life Santa to keep everyone in order (I don't know what happened to barman Sam though?).

I'm never drinking again. Ever. But it was a lot of laughs all the same!
