Coco does it again...
review After a long drive back from London and queuing outside in the cold for 20 mins (not good when you’re desperate for the loo, despite hilarious “NVQ" jokes) my spirits definitely needed a lift on Saturday night. Lucky for us the Coco team really did have an amazing night up their sleeves!I got there soon after 11 and was lucky to get in as the small club rapidly approached capacity. We were jammed in like sardines, but it didn’t seem to matter - the atmosphere was quite amazing. The DJ took us on a roller-coaster ride with the eclectic mix of music that only Coco Latte can get away with! When coco had the weekly Saturday night slot at Envy last year despite a strong start it seemed that no matter what tricks and treats they had in store for us they just couldn’t maintain a busy club for the whole year, but by the looks of it they may have pulled it off this year by reducing the number of nights. It seemed that the club attracted full of the regular Brighton party peeps plus a fair spattering of Coco’s London following. In a break from the norm the DJ stopped for a while at midnight for a live PA from Cathy Brown, she gave a superb performance, but the feeling in the club was definitely mixed as I heard moans about the lull in the music, despite this I, for one, thought she was fab. Word of advice to all you lovely people though, if ya want to go next time, get there early, you don’t want to queue and ya definitely don’t want to be turned away ands miss the fun.
