Sold! Tony Chapman's Last Night...
review
The fat lady sang. Only... well, she wasn't that fat. And she might have been wearing a dress, but she was no lady. Tony Chapman handed over Revenge to the new owners in an evening of glitz and glamour, rounded off with a headline appearance from the Dame Edna Experience.
Tony will be keeping his finger in the Big Gay Brighton Pie by focusing on Legends and the New Europe Hotel, which will be expanding in the next few months.
From the REALBrighton forum...
Well I had to go and say goodbye to the man who made Brighton what it is today... Mr. Tony Chapman. And what a night it was, I had to ask someone what day of the week it was because it felt like the usual happy Friday night crowd in a party mood, and the club was decorated like it was Christmas Day.
Obviously it was Tony's last time at the steering wheel of the flagship Revenge and it WAS a night to remember... Good look to him!
I, like everyone, fear the future and what it may bring to the club. I have been assured by many that there will be little or no change to the venue. Please Mr. Newowners, don't fix it if it's not broken and listen to the people that will be supporting you.

about Revenge

If Brighton is widely regarded as the gay capital of the UK, then Revenge is its Big Gay Cathedral. A whopping two floors of a club, giving you a choice of music music, decor and people. And with both floors being so big you can stand and chat by the bar without having to scream at each other over the music. Sitting in the windows upstairs you can while away your time looking out over the Pier or ... The next Revenge date for your diary:
