...and there was foam. And the boys looked up toward the foam machines, and it was good. And they separated the foam from their eyes. They called the foam "slippery" and their hands they called "all over the place".

It can sometimes be a tough job doing the photos at Wild Fruit, but somehow it seems less and less like real work. Putting the camera away at 1ish to enjoy the rest of the night, I squeezed myself onto the packed dancefloor and quickly lost myself in the music and under the foam...

Is it just me, or is Wild Fruit having a fairly major revival? Not that it particularly needed reviving... just that it seems to be getting better and bloody better. Granted, Creation need to sort out their air-conditioning, but most people tend not to wear much in the way of clothes so it's not a huge issue. The place was absolutely rammed, the music was bloody fantastic, the crowd was a good mix of locals and visitors and was well up for it. Pete Haywood, resident headline DJ at the Fruit, commented that it was like playing in Poland - the crowd screaming their appreciation for a great mix or a favourite track.

I may have had to wipe the slime off my camera a few times, but isn't it great when you get home and find that your trainers are cleaner than when you left the house...?

and there's more...

Sweltering Seamen

Was it the scantily clad sailors that got me hot and sticky, or the lack of air conditioning and the foam? To be honest it was a mixture of all three!

They might be mine. But I don't remember taking most of them. But I definitely remember the Pimms at the Amsterdam. I'll just shove them up there and hope someone claims them.
