What is the French for ‘va va voom’ anyway? Friday saw the launch of Brighton’s newest gay bar, intriguingly named ‘Vavoom’ open up in the Old Steine. And the party went off without a Renault in site [haha. Ed].

Squeezed snugly into the building right next door to Revenge, it's packed full of large plasma screens and offers drink deals and a food menu. And there's a very cool video juke box, even offering free credits on some weekdays! Go check it out!

Vavoom has a modern, stylish interior but still manages to provide a warm and cosy feel. They’ve managed to squeeze in an incredible amount to utilize every inch of floor space, and on sunny days they open up the large front window to extend the drinking space onto the pavement outside.
