Pride Full Stop...Finito...

And so it has been, and so it is said...the best Pride in Brighton so far and the busiest to boot. Now leading the whole country in how it is done, Brighton throws one last night of campery at the proceedings.
The Queen's Arms throw open their doors and give a big pat on the back to a City that surely must be the hostess with the mostess - and those grand dames of entertainment, Phil Starr and Maisie Trollette take to the stage after what must have been an exhausting weekend. After a triumphant return, Maisie gives it her all, with Phil standing by, the ascerbic comments tempered by her pleasure at seeing her old mate up there with her.
A great night - a good atmosphere, and the satisfaction that Pride has, at last, been put to bed.

It is with great sadness that we report Phil Starr's death on 18 October 2005. Phil was hugely loved by so many people in Brighton and far beyond. There was a great sense of shock around town as people try to come to terms with such a loss and many tributes have been made by a fan base that extended internationally.
