Musical Extravaganza!...
review I think Krissie Du Cann must have rummaged quite ferociously around in her little black book to come up with a host of Brighton talent for this music marathon. Lola Lasagne and Maisie were headlining (Dave Lynn appeared to do his magic routine and had disappeared without a puff of smoke). In addition, a host of Brighton talent put on a fantastic show - for those of you who can't get enough of cabaret, this was a dream! Jamie Watson very ably hosted throughout the day and put on a great set of his own. Other artistes included the irrespressible Ricky Royale (Mr Pride and the unofficial Gaylord Mayor of Brighton), Jennie Castelle (the P-O-W-E-R of Love), Richard Carney (such a sweetie) and Courtney King (who's wuthering heights rendition was nothing short of bonkers!). The list was endless and if a few more of you naughty people had turned up would have raised even more money.Huw, god bless him, won a prize in the raffle and through his beery haze selected the one with the free wine on it - missing an entire weekend break in the process... Many thanks to Krissie for organising, to Jamie for hosting, to Envy for providing the venue and to all the artistes who gave their time for nothing.
