Headache? Sandpaper tongue? Tired and confused? Then you must have been at Candy Bar last night. With Jimmy on the decks, feel-good party tunes and fabulous company, this was another unforgettable night with the girls.
The wee popstar took us authoritatively through the 80's with plenty of Old Favourites, a few Crowd Pleasers and a scattering of the Bizarre, with the notable omission of any Communards or Bronski Beat (I suppose it's not really the done thing to play your own tracks). By the way he was bouncing around in the DJ box I'm guessing that these are the tracks that he loves to hear, so the gig probably wasn't a great chore for him!
I sort of wish I'd gone a bit easier on the beers, though. And on the shots. And on the half pint of vodka-on-ice that remained unclaimed at the end of night. Ouch. I'm never drinking again.
